IDES began in 1986 when IBM needed a way to reference
technical information for the plastics they were using
to develop their computer products. What started out
as a handbook quickly progressed from floppy disks to
cd-rom and in the mid-90's, the Internet.
For many years, we provided reference books: Pocket Specs
for Injection Molding and Pocket Performance
Specs for Thermoplastics. The information is now found in our Prospector Plastics Database that includes
84726
technical datasheets from
866
global resin suppliers.
We also provide plastic material data management services for the majority of resin distributors and
resin suppliers. You can see a listing by
visiting our customers
page.
The IDES website organizes
tons of useful information about plastic materials including
supplier lists, processing guidelines and charts, chemical
resistance data, features and uses lists, tools, and
much more. It also incorporates the first vertical search
engine for plastics related content - try it today by entering a keyword into the search box at the top of this page.
We always welcome your comments and ideas on how we
can improve or develop services to provide value for you. |
