The Snap Fit Calculator is most commonly associated with the design assembly of a part, where two or more components of the part need to fit together to assemble as one complete product.  The design of the snap fit is especially important when the part is being designed for a multiple dis-assembly feature, where the snap fit will need to perform multiple times without any permanent deformation.  The tool allows the user to select from various snap fit designs, as well as view a wide range of materials that will best perform in the design selected by the user.  The snap fit tool will indicate if the design meets certain criteria or if there is a risk the design could fail.
