Recognizing our clients' need for more rapid identification of RoHS compliant materials, RoHS compliance is now split-out into its own search field. Not only does this change make finding RoHS compliant materials faster and easier, but it provides a way of identifying materials that resin suppliers have stated may be RoHS compliant. Overall, the amount of materials designated as RoHS compliant has nearly doubled, while the number of materials for which RoHS information exists has more than tripled!
What the Data Means
There are two options available, either "RoHS Compliant" or "Contact Manufacturer". In either case, IDES has acquired RoHS-specific information about the material. Due to the legal nature of RoHS, some resin manufacturers prefer to speak to clients about a material and its application before they will certify that a material is RoHS compliant. In these cases, materials receive a "Contact Manufacturer" designation. This designation lets you know that a manufacturer knows about RoHS and is prepared to provide information about compliance.
If a material carries neither the "RoHS Compliant" or "Contact Manufacturer" designations, either the material is not RoHS compliant, or RoHS related information is not currently available.

RoHS compliance is still searchable through the Agency Rating search in the General category.
