Melinar B60 0.82 IV by Artenius UK Ltd is a PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic material.
General Information
Product Description

Melinar® B60 at 0.82 IV is a food grade PET designed for conversion into bottles for packaging carbonated soft drinks and mineral water, custom containers for edible oils, foodstuffs , household and personal care products, and APET sheet.

Compared to Melinar® B60 at 0.80 IV, the 0.82 IV resin gives superior mechanical properties because of its higher molecular weight, and is better suited to use for modern lightweight, single piece, petaloid bottles commonly used for carbonated soft drinks. For other applications, the higher IV will give small benefits in mechanical properties.

Melinar® B60/0.82 IV is a copolymer modified PET with fast injection moulding cycle time, excellent stretch-blow-moulding characteristics to bottles with high barrier and mechanical properties, and neutral colour tone and high transparency.

Melinar® B60/0.82 IV is ideal for conversion into bottles and jars by both one- and two-stage ISBM processes, and into sheet and thermoformings by extrusion thermoforming processes.

Melinar® B60 is designed to meet the most stringent standards for low acetaldehyde content in preforms, bottles and other containers. Melinar® B60 is also suitable for the packaging of a wide range of other beverages and foodstuffs.
