RESPOND RESPOND-EX Tri-laminate by LyondellBasell Advanced Polyolefins USA, Inc. is a TPO (POE) (Thermoplastic Polyolefin Elastomer) plastic material.

General Information

Product Description

Tri-laminate, soft-touch TPO material for interior components, including center consoles, instrument panels, A- and B-pillar covers, door panels, and many other cab applications.

Applications:
Low- gloss, soft-feel material to soften interior applications in markets such as agricultural equipment, heavy trucks, RV cabs, and others. A thermoplastic, recyclable material.

Tri-laminate:
RESPOND® EX-4290 TPV cap laminated to closed-cell, cross-linked polyolefin foam and extruded over SEQUEL® E3000 TPO substrate.

Advantages of thermoformed soft-touch TPO:
- Low gloss and soft feel eliminate the need for soft-touch paint (<5% after forming)
- Eliminates the squeak and rattle that is characteristic of styrenics
- Low-cost tooling makes material ideal for niche and low-volume vehicles

Recycling:
Compatible polyolefin materials are melt-bonded with no adhesives, simplifying recycling of unpainted scrap with no loss of properties.
