Tecnoflon NFT 7030 by Solvay Solexis, Inc. is a Fluorelastomer (Fluoroelastomer) plastic material with filler: PTFE Micropowder.
General Information
Product Description
TECNOFLON® NFT 7030 is a new peroxide curable fluoroelastomer with incorporated modified nano-PTFE filler (the particle size is about 45 nm), obtained by means of an innovative patented nano-composite technology.

Due to the resulting improved interaction between the fluoroelastomer matrix and the modified PTFE filler and thanks to the use of a clean coagulation and packaging process, some of the basic properties of Tecnoflon® NFT 7030 are as follows:
  • High compound purity
  • Low friction
  • Low abrasion
  • Good mechanical and sealing properties
  • Low permeability
  • Reduced post cure time

Tecnoflon® NFT 7030 is especially designed for high purity seals, for instance as required by semiconductor and flat panel displays manufacturing. In some cases, in order to prevent process contamination, conventional fillers, either carbon black or mineral fillers, cannot be used.

On the contrary, the use of a clean filler as PTFE greatly reduces metal and organic species elution in wet processes as well as particle generation in dry processes. Moreover the PTFE dispersion at the nano-scale guarantees a more homogeneous filler distribution coupled with excellent overall mechanical and sealing properties.

Tecnoflon® NFT 7030 can be used for compression, injection and transfer molding of shaft seals, valve seals, O-rings, gaskets or any
item requiring higher purity, superior chemical resistance, reduced friction coefficient and permeability.

Tecnoflon® NFT 7030 can be combined with the cure system and other typical fluoroelastomer compounding ingredients. Mixing can be accomplished with two-roll mills or internal mixers. This material can be extruded into hoses or profiles and can be calendered to make sheet stocks or belting. Finished goods may be produced by a variety of rubber processing methods.
