HAPCOAT 3727 by Hapco Inc. is a TP, Unspecified (Thermoplastic, Unspecified) plastic material with filler: Steel Filler.
General Information
Product Description

- A hard, steel filled, high strength, wear resistant, thermally conductive, brushable tool and mold surface coat.
- Used as a high performance mold or tool surfacing material and a mold or tool patching material.
- Available in easy to use, two part pre-measured kits, which mix to a brushable, creamy consistency.
- Reproduces exact surface detail and produces a hard, durable surface, that is both heat and chemical resistant

Advantages:
- Has a very low shrinkage characteristic, which enables exact surface detail and dimension reproduction.
- Used where moderate wear resistance is required.
- Provides continuous high temperature service up to 350° F.
- Highly resistant to mold release agents and mold cleaners.
- Creamy, and spreads easily by brushing over a model or pattern.
- Can be readily machined, drilled, tapped, or milled with conventional metal working tools.
- Can also be used for changes and repairs in tooling.

Applications:
- Foundry Patterns
- Tracing masters
- Molds and fixtures where high performance and exact detailing is required.
