HAPCOAT 562 by Hapco Inc. is a TP, Unspecified (Thermoplastic, Unspecified) plastic material.
General Information
Product Description

A soft hardness (shore A 60), elastomeric, abrasion resistant, thixotropic, surface coat that is specifically designed to reproduce surface details exactly.
- Formulated to withstand high wear continuous service.
- Being thixotropic, HAPCOAT 562-564 applies easily with a brush
- Will not sag when applied to a vertical surface.
- Easily machined and can be drilled, tapped, or milled with conventional tools.

Advantages:
- When parts A & B are mixed, HAPCOAT 562-564 reaches a "tacked-up" (bubble gum) state in approximately 30-45 minutes.
- Continuous exposure to a high wear environment is possible with this system.
- Being elastomeric, the surface is resistant to dents and cracks.
- Being thixotropic, HAPCOAT 562-564 will not sag when applied to a vertical surface and allows the user a good, even coat.
- Parts are easily machined with regular tools.
- May be drilled, tapped, sanded, polished, and turned in a lathe.
- May be used with a variety of curing agents to accommodate a wide range of application requirements.

Applications:
- Properties such as Impact Resistance and Wear Resistance make HAPCOAT 562-564 especially suitable for sample and production tools, patterns and fixtures.
- Ideally suited for foundry applications, drilling fixtures, molding fixtures, sand blasting fixtures and checking gauges.
- Excellent for electrical insulation applications requiring non or low sag materials.
- Exerts low stress on components and is shock resistant.
