Grilamid®  L20FR - EMS-GRIVORY - 

Grilamid L20FR is a flame-retardant, polyamide 12 formulation recognized by Underwriters Laboratories as meeting the V2 requirements of U.L. Bulletin 94 in sections as thin as 0.031" (0.79mm) for all colors. Stabilized against thermal degradation, it offers excellent retention of properties when exposed to high temperatures and U.V. radiation. Unlike conventional systems based on phosphorus, chlorine or bromine, the flameretarding systems of Grilamid L20FR and its products of decomposition are non-corrosive and thus will not attack machine or mold surfaces under any processing conditions. This flame-retarding system depends upon the release of nitrogen to "blanket" combustion. It does not require a synergist, and is effective at a very low concentration, thus minimizing any effects on properties or processing. Grilamid L20FR may be processed via injection molding or extrusion. It is especially suited for components in the electrical, electronics, telecommunimcations, appliance and personal care industries.
