| General Information | |
| Product Description | |
|
POLYBATCH® ABOA-10-LD is a 10% active, odor absorbing masterbatch based in LDPE. This masterbatch is designed to minimize taste and odor transference from the polymer packaging to the food being packaged. This is done by mechanically and chemically trapping the polymer odors to keep them from away from the food. POLYBATCH® ABOA-10-LD is very moisture sensitive and must be used in the core layer of a coextruded film, with HDPE or medium density LLDPE on either side to be effective. Due to the aggressive absorption characteristics of this masterbatch it must be kept in a sealed, dry container with a nitrogen blanket when not in use. When processing POLYBATCH® ABOA-10-LD it is recommended to keep a nitrogen purge on the feedthroat and the hopper of the extruder. This product is NOT DESIGNED to absorb undesirable food odors. |
