| General Information | |
| Product Description | |
|
POLYBATCH® AMF-703-A is a processing aid concentrate containing 3% fluoropolymer copolymer based in LLDPE. This concentrate is designed for use in unfilled systems to reduce/eliminate melt fracture. The fluoropolymer copolymer selectively coats the interior metal surfaces of the die and barrel. This result in smoother processing of HDPE and LLDPE films by reducing the melt fracture often observed in the melt transition region of the bubble. POLYBATCH® AMF-703-A is also recommended to improve processing by lowering the torque of the extruder often permitting increased running rates. The standard practice for use of processing aids is to first add the concentrate at a high level (e.g. 15%) and run for 30 minutes, at low to medium rpm to coat all metal surfaces, then reduce the addition level to 1-2% throughout the run. |
