PENTAM 1600 by Zeon Chemicals L.P. is a DCPD (Dicyclopentadiene) plastic material.
General Information
Product Description

PENTAM® is Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) polymer processed using RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) equipment. DCPD is the material in C5 fraction. ZEON is well known as an internationally superior C5 fraction supplier.
PENTAM® has high performance properties such as stiffness, high impact strength, good thermal behavior and specific corrosion resistance. PENTAM® offers a self-demolding production.
PENTAM® enables to design a variable thickness within the part. It is easy to increase the rigidity of the product by molded-in ribs or glueing of omega-shaped reinforcement. PENTAM® offers any type of fixation such as over-molded inserts, self-threading inserts, and rivets. There is No Size or Weight Limitation in PENTAM®.
ZEON offers the comprehensive support from product designing to commercial production.
PENTAM® is a low density polymer because no fiber reinforcement is needed. PENTAM® shows an excellent combination of stiffness and impact resistance, even at very low temperature (-40°C). PENTAM® has corrosion resistance and a good dimension stability. PENTAM® offers an excellent paint and adhesive adhesion and ease of machining (drilling, threading).
