Product Description
"Clyrell" RC1601 is a new copolymer structure polypropylene specifically designed for use in skin layer of high barrier metallised BOPP films with high thermal resistance, in order to retain the excellent barrier properties even after critical converting processes such as extrusion lamination.
"Clyrell" RC1601 combines a high Melting Temperature with a high Softening Point (sharp Vicat curve); its superior thermal resistance prevents metal crazing during film converting in stressing conditions.
"Clyrell" RC1601 is not a sealing resin.
"Clyrell" RC1601 is Calcium Stearate free and it does not contain migrating additives (slip agents, antistatics).
"Clyrell" RC1601 does not contain antiblocking; this allows to obtain a smoother surface and prevent the formation of pin holes on the metallised film, contributing to the enhancement of barrier properties. The utilization of a round-shaped particles antiblocking is suggested in the opposite not treated sealing layer in order to prevent metal scratching and barrier effect reduction.
"Clyrell" RC1601 is suitable for food contact.
