Product Description
Teflon® 106-N is one of DuPonts melt processable copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene.

It offers the excellent combination of properties characteristic of Teflon® fluoropolymer resins: non-ageing characteristics, chemical inertness, exceptional dielectric properties, heat resistance, toughness and flexibility, low coefficient of friction, non-stick characteristics, negligible moisture absorption and excellent weather resistance.

Teflon® 106-N has the lowest molecular weight of all Teflon® FEP grades. It is designed for the production, by the extrusion process, of thin wall, small diameter wire insulations, and small diameter tubes. It can also be used for the production of intricate and thin wall parts made by the injection moulding process.

Teflon® 106-N is a "high productivity" grade of Teflon® FEP. At processing temperatures it shows low viscosity and a high critical shear rate. Compared to the general purpose grade Teflon® 100-N, it can be extruded, in similar wire constructions, at much faster rates and higher extrusion line speeds, and the final product will show comparable physical properties.
