Product Description
HM-242 is a process aid concentrate. It is added to LLDPE to reduce the occurrence of melt fracture and surface roughness in film and molded articles. It also will reduce extruder torques. Because the additive in HM-242 increases the critical shear rate for onset of melt-fracture, higher line speeds are often possible.

Directions for Use:
Preconditioning: Desired result will be achieved more quickly if the equipment is preconditioned by processing 6.6% HM-242 in LLDPE. This let-down results in 2000 ppm of the active ingredient.
Normal operation: Typically used 1 to 4% HM-242 in LLDPE.
