Product Description
NatureWorks® PLA polymer 6251D, a NatureWorks LLC product, is a thermoplastic fiber-grade resin derived primarily from annually renewable resources. Available in pellet form, 6251D is designed for spunbond products using conventional spunbond equipment. NatureWorks® PLA 6251 can be converted into a broad range of fiber products.

Potential applications for PLA polymer 6251D include:
  • Wipes
  • Geotextiles
  • Hospital garments
  • Absorbent pad liners
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Agriculture/horticultural products

NatureWorks® PLA polymer 6251D grade will process on conventional spunbond equipment with thorough cleaning since PLA is not compatible with a wide variety of polymers.
