Product Description

Neopolen® is a polypropylene foam. Its expanded beads are predominantly closed-cell. It is supplied to molders in the form of loose beads for processing into a wide variety of foam parts on automated processing equipment. A molded density between 20 and 120 g / l can be obtained with the standard product range. The foam beads are manufactured and processed in an eco-friendly manner without FCHCs.

Neopolen® P is processed into moldings in automated foaming equipment. The air inclusions in the predominantly closed-cell foam beads act as a blowing agent; only air, water and steam are used as production media. Processing is performed in five steps:

Filling the molding equipment and simultaneously compressing the beads

Melting and expanding the foam beads

Cooling

Removal from the mold

Drying of moldings

Drying and dimensional stabilization are achieved by tempering the moldings. This processing step can be left out for molding densities above 50 g / l and generally when there are less stringent demands on dimensional accuracy. No chemical reactions occur.
