Product Description
Cotene™ Antique Effect polyethylenes utilise a special blend of pigments that have been designed to create an "aged effect" on moulded parts through random bands of colour and areas of high and low intensity colours. A difference with this product is that every part will have its own unique layup of the colour and will produce different looking parts every time (the colour will remain the same but the pattern will differ).

Cotene™ Antique Effect colours can be processed in a similar manner to conventional Cotene™ 9048. It must be recognised though, that due to the nature of the colouring effect, variations in effect can be seen and can be changed by external influences such as weather conditions and mould parameters.

As a result, Courtenay have produced a processing guide which aims to outline some of the problems and influences that are known to us to inhibit the effect. Please request this when you are considering purchasing Antique Effect colours.

Cotene™ Antique Effect colours have been designed specifically for use in display items eg point of sale applications, and as such these colours have not been tested for use in food contact applications.
