Product Description
EDF-224F is a certified prime grade 3 wt% VINYL ACETATE-ETHYLENE copolymer designed for production of specialty blown films requiring excellent balance of mechanical and optical properties. EDF-224F films exhibit outstanding clarity, high toughness and impact strength, high resistance to low temperature brittleness, and superior sealability. EDF-224F applications include coextrusion sealing layers for superior Hot-Tack strength and low Seal Initiation Temperature (SIT), ice bags, frozen food, poultry bags, and packaging films requiring good heat sealability. Maximum recommended film drawdown is 1.0 mil (25 µ). EDF-224F contains medium slip and medium antiblock. EDF-224F complies with FDA regulation 21CFR 177.1350 (a) + (b) concerning Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymers use in contact with food articles, subject to restrictions: 1) may not be used for contact with food containing more than 0.5% alcohol, and: 2) may not be used in materials for food packaging exceeding 10 mils (250 µ) thickness.
