Product Description
Polybutene-1 grade PB0800 resin is an isotactic, semi-crystalline homopolymer which may be used where creep resistance, environmental stress crack resistance and elevated temperature performance are key requirements.
Polybutene-1 grade PB0800 is miscible with polypropylenes due to its similar molecular structure. In blends with polyethylene, it is immiscible but easily dispersible.
This grade is often used as a concentrate carrier, as a rheology modifier for other olefins, or in hot melt adhesive formulations where higher service temperature and strength is required. It has little heat stabilizer and no UV stabilization.
Polybutene-1 grade PB0800 meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 175.105 for adhesives.
