Product Description
Laser-transparent, glass fiber-reinforced polybutylene terephthalate compound with low shrinkage

VESTODUR X9402 black E70337 is a 30% glass fiber-reinforced, modified polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) compound. Moldings of this compound show decreased shrinkage.

The compound is suitable for injection molding of parts with good thermal stability and high mechanical strength. The black pigmentation will not influence the laserlight absorption (Nd: YAG, 1064 nm).

So a laser-welding with other resins which absorb the laserlight is possible.
