Product Description
AH50S2 is an acetal homopolymer composition containing 2% of a specially selected silicone fluid, finely dispersed throughout the base resin. It is suitable for processing by injection molding.

Although acetal homopolymer exhibits exceptional bearing characteristics, including a very low coefficient of friction, the incorporation of this specially selected silicone fluid eliminates "slip/stick" behavior and enhances PV capabilities throughout a wide range of pressure/velocity combinations.

The mechanical properties of AH50S2 are broadly similar to those of the base resin AH50, except that the silicone fluid has a slight plasticizing effect, reducing strength and rigidity.

AH50S2 processes exceptionally easily and offers opportunities to attain very fast cycle times.

This composition should be considered for applications where the outstanding mechanical property performance, dimensional stability, and chemical, oil and solvent resistance, typical of acetal homopolymer are required.
