Product Description
AC90S2 is an acetal copolymer composition containing 2% silicone, finely dispersed throughout the base resin.

Although acetal copolymer exhibits exceptional bearing characteristics, including a very low coefficient of friction, the incorporation of this specially selected silicone fluid eliminates "stick/slip" behavior and enhances PV capabilities throughout a wide range of pressure/velocity combinations, especially for higher speed/lower load applications.

The mechanical properties of AC90S2 are broadly similar to those of the base resin AC90, except that the silicone fluid has a slight plasticizing effect.

AC90S2 processes exceptionally easily and offers opportunities to attain very fast cycle times. This composition should be considered for applications where the outstanding mechanical property performance, dimensional stability, and chemical, oil and solvent resistance, typical of acetal copolymer are required, in combination with excellent low friction and wear characteristics, especially where the external addition of lubricants is impractical or unacceptable.
