Product Description
IOTEK 8030 is a sodium ionomer, which offers :
  • a well balanced combination of stiffness, processability and flex-life properties
  • outstanding clarity and gloss - excellent mold flow properties

Processing Conditions:
IOTEK 8030 can be processed on equipment normally used for LDPE.
To minimize corrosion risk, all exposed metal surfaces in the extruder and die should be made from corrosion resistant metals or nickel/chrome plated.
IOTEK 8030 should be fed into the extruder after LDPE of a similar or higher melt index. Machines should always be completely purged with LDPE or a suitable cleaning compound before shutdown.
Cation containing polymers pick up moisture from the atmosphere if exposed for prolonged periods. It is therefore recommended to reseal tightly the package after each production run.
