Product Description

HTP ABS/35% Wood is a wood reinforced thermoplastic which looks and acts like wood, but has the formability of a thermoplastic, allowing the extrusion and molding of shapes normal to thermoplastics. Structures made from this material would be superior to existing hardwoods in performance, replacing structural members in construction, window frames, doors and their framing, as well as a host of other wood applications.

The major advantage of this wood/polymer composite is the stiffness or high flexural modulus over that of most woods while maintaining impact resistance and ability to nail, screw or fasten this material together. This new composite also features water resistance, flame resistance and has the ability to float.
