Product Description
Elastamide is a Nylon alloy which chemically bonds molecular lengths of Nylon-6 to molecular lengths of an elastomer. By varying the ratio of Nylon-6 to elastomer, the properties of the resultant copolymer can be adapted to specific performance requirements.
Elastamide combines the toughness of a nylon with the impact resistance and resiliency of an elastomer. It polymerizes in the mold to generate a finished part which is stress free.
Elastamide is a low-pressure molding system which allows the production of large part with varying thickness interfaces. It ca accommodate various additives, colorants, flame retardants, UV stabilizers, and fillers to make a specific copolymer for your particular requirements. Parts can be produced in detail or rough cast and machined to size.
