Product Description
A food grade PET especially formulated to give the most efficient blowing - demonstrated by the maximum output or the minimum reheat energy - during high speed two-stage processing into a wide range of modern carbonated soft drink and custom containers.
Laser+® is especially well suited to the modern generation of single piece, contour, lightweight bottles with either petalloid or punt bases, which are highly bioriented to give high barrier and mechanical properties. These are made from thick-wall preforms which are particularly demanding in reheat, both in heat-up rate and temperature profile through the wall, a requirement which Laser+® satisfies most effectively. Laser+® also gives high injection moulding outputs because of its relatively slow crystallisation rate.
Laser+® is also suitable for conversion into bottles and custom containers via single-stage processing, and into extruded sheet and thermoformed articles. Laboratory testing shows Laser+® to be among the leading heat-setting grades.
Laser+® is designed to meet the most stringent standards for low acetaldehyde content in preforms and bottles for the soft drinks industry. Laser+® is also suitable for the packaging of a wide range of other beverages and foodstuffs.
