Product Description
OXY 631 is a medium molecular weight PVC dispersion resin. It has found acceptance in such diverse applications as roll coating, dip coating, slush molding, rotational casting, cellular vinyls, and sealants.
OXY 631 has low Brookfield and Severs properties as well as excellent viscosity stability. It also has exceptional natural air release.
OXY 631 has found extensive use in cast cellular vinyls using Azo type chemical blowing agents. The speed at which OXY 631 enters the fused state assures that gas evolution will occur in a satisfactory environment. This allows formulation latitude with respect to obtaining acceptable foam quality under varying processing conditions. In processes that cannot tolerate high temperatures, OXY 631 can be used in place of higher molecular weight resins to obtain adequate tensile strength.
