Product Description
ALCUDIA® CP-104 is a low density compound designed for Medium Voltage Power Cable Insulation.
ALCUDIA® CP-104 is a natural and crosslinkable compound based on high molecular weight, Low Density Polyethylene.
ALCUDIA® CP-104 has been specifically designed to act as a crosslinking homopolymer with organic peroxide. This product contains a special antioxidant to guarantee thermal stability and causes minimum interference with the crosslinking process. The molecular characteristics of the product together with the antioxidant give ALCUDIA® CP-104 the following features: excellent thermal stability, good processing behaviour, excellent crosslinking efficiency at high speed, and smooth surface finish.
This critical application demands the use of raw material of high purity ensuring perfect performance of the cable over a long period of time Repsol YPF is extremely careful with regard to the cleanliness and appearance of CP-104. The pellet has uniform colour and section and low percentage of fines. As an additional precaution to minimize the possibility of contamination this material is normally supplied in trucks or octabins.
