Product Description
ALCUDIA® 49070 is a high-density polyethylene copolymer of hexene, with high molecular weight. It is especially designed to make, by blow moulding, containers of medium and high capacity (up to 5000 litres) oils and dangerous goods.
It is classified as Type III, Class A, Category 5 according to ASTM D1248-84
This grade contains stabilizers according to the end use of the item in order to reinforce the thermal and light stability.
Containers made with this grade are suitable to the requirements in standard UNE 53432 parts 1, 2 and 3 in Spain, and NFM-88-560 in France. It is also included in the DIBT list of materials to contain petroleum derivatives, in Germany.
It has a high resistance to petroleum derivatives products. After a long contact period with the petroleum derivatives, it retains more than 80% of the initial tensile strength and more than 50% of the initial elongation at break with a weight increment less than 10%.
