Product Description
ASTALAC™ JP is a structural foam grade of ABS designed to offer a greater design freedom than is achievable with metals or wood. Astalac™JP is less moisture sensitive than wood, does not degrade and offers a "high strength to weight ratio". The physical properties depend greatly on the density reduction achieved during moulding. Typical applications include very thick components such as chair backings and automotive wheel arch fairings. Due to the foaming process, the component surface appearance will be slightly compromised. Consequently, many applications are painted.
