Product Description
SAMBA is a slip masterbatch formulated with Erucamide at a concentration of 2 percent.

SAMBA can be added to polyethylene during extrusion to reduce the coefficient of friction of films. The level required will vary according to coefficient of friction desired; gauge of film, polymer type (LLDPE, LDPE, etc..) and other factors such as the presence of other additives (including antiblocks, colourants / pigments, etc...). For injection moulded articles, typical addition rates of SAMBA would be 2.0% due to the thickness of the moulded article. Higher addition rates of SAMBA may result in problems with printing or label adhesion, or possibly warpage.

The maximum level of addition of SAMBA based on both good manufacturing practice and to ensure conformance to the requirements to the United States Food and Drug Administration Regulations CFR21 is 10 percent, when added to a polyethylene formulation free of any slip additives.
