Product Description
DOW™ Medical Packaging Film (MPF) 2000 is a flexible thermoformable multi-layer coextruded film designed for use with coated lidding materials in the packaging of medical disposables. It consists of a layer of DOWLEX™ Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) which provides toughness and tear resistance, and a thinner layer of PRIMACOR™ Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA) Copolymer which aids in formability and provides consistent peelable seals to coated lidding material.

General Characteristics:
  • High toughness and tear resistance
  • Thermoformable on a variety of TFFS machines
  • Sterilizable by EtO, gamma, or E-beam
  • Clean peelable seals without fiber tear
  • Good see-through clarity
  • Resists discoloration with sterilization or age
  • Puncture and abrasion resistant packages

  • Web width: 10-60 in (254-1524 mm)
  • Film thickness: 4-10 mils (100-250 µm
  • Rolls: 3- or 6-in ID; up to 19-in OD (76- or 152 mm ID, up to 483 mm OD)
  • Film yield: 29.8 MSI/lb/mil (42.4 m²/Kg/25 µm)
