Product Description
IOTEK 4200 is a Zinc neutralized ethylene based acid copolymer.
IOTEK 4200 is designed as an outstanding sealing layer for extrusion coating in combination with other materials such as paper, aluminium foil and polyethylene. It outperforms other materials in hot tack.
Other key features are abrasion resistance, stiffness, low temperature sealing and draw down / neck-in balance.

Processing Conditions:
To minimize corrosion risk, all exposed metal surfaces in the extruder and die should be made from corrosion resistant metals or nickel/chrome plated.
IOTEK 4200 should be fed into the extruder after LDPE of a similar or higher melt index. Machines should always be completely purged with LDPE or a suitable cleaning compound before shutdown.
Cation containing polymers pick up moisture from the atmosphere if exposed for prolonged periods. It is therefore recommended to reseal tightly the package after each production run.
