Product Description
SABIC® HDPE B6246LS is SABIC's latest high density polyethylene development for the food and beverage industry. This grade meets the latest end consumer expectations regarding purity, healthiness and organoleptics. These "green" market trends resulted in the launch of this unique SABIC grade, suited for state of the art blow moulding as well as injection moulding applications. It combines a high rigidity with superb processing performance, which offers potential for system cost reduction.

The grade is very suited for the blow moulding of mono as well as multi layer bottles in several food markets, like fresh, pasteurised and ultra heat treated milk, sauces, orange juice, functional drinks, probiotics and other "daily shot" drinks. The unique properties offer the possibility to reduce weight at very good top load strength. This slip agent free grade is also very suited for the injection moulding of caps & closures for carbonated soft drinks and sparkling water. Due to the high and broad molecular weight distribution the grade behaves during processing like a "normal" MFR=2 injection moulding grade. The material can also be used for injection moulding applications requiring a very high environmental stress cracking resistance, like UN-pails and UN-caps & closures.
