Polyesters with Halogen-Free Flame-Retardant System
To meet the demands of current regulations and environmentally conscious manufacturers, Ticona has developed a comprehensive portfolio of halogenand antimony-free flame-resistant polyesters. The Ticona XFR grades are ideal candidates for use in electrical and electronic applications. The innovative feature of the XFR series is its highly efficient halogen-free flame-retardant system. Until recently, if polyester materials had to meet high flammability ratings, there were no alternatives to brominated flame retardants. Celanex® XFR PBT and Riteflex® XFR TPC-ET grades offer halogen-free solutions while maintaining the excellent properties of halogenated products. This is particularly important in view of European, Asian and North American regulations and legislation.
