Our specialty is the extrusion of precision profiles using high value materials designed for other
processes (such as molding) and generally not considered extrudable. We routinely extrude compounds of every thermoplastic resin from ABS to AMODEL® to PEEK to Polycarbonate to RADEL® to ULTEM® to Zytel®. We extrude neat, glass, steel and carbon fiber reinforced materials.
Plastic Extrusion is a cost effective, smart solution for many applications that cannot be molded or extruded in metal. Low tooling costs and short lead times keep your initial investment low, and smart designing–with Certified's help–will maximize the value of your part. Certified's Engineers will review your design and work with you to improve and increase its value. Snap-together assembly and snap-apart disassembly, living hinges, variable and limitless lengths, multi-lumen tubing, all can be incorporated into extrusions by working with our Design Engineers. Elastomeric and optical properties, high temperature requirements, clean room applications, anti-friction, harsh environment resistance, static dissipation, Flame-Smoke-Toxicity requirements can all be met utilizing the materials we extrude.
Secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, notching, adhesive bonding and welding are all available, along with an unlimited color selection with most materials. An extruded Engineering Thermoplastic does not ordinarily require any further processing such as de-scaling, passivating, annealing or painting.
