CLEVELAND, May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PolyOne Corporation (NYSE:POL) has announced that it will increase the price of all its vinyl compound products by US$0.02 per pound effective May 15, 2007. This increase is in addition to the increase of US$0.03 per pound effective March 15, 2007.
The increase is based on continuing upward pricing trends for vinyl resins and other key raw materials. Vinyl resin producers have increased prices in March and April and have announced an increase for May. In addition, rapidly rising raw material prices based on ethylene, propylene and metals have in turn increased prices for feedstocks, plasticizers and stabilizers.
