 Ticona Raises Polyester Prices in the Americas

Florence, Ky., June 11, 2007 – Ticona, the engineering polymers business of Celanese Corporation, announced a price increase for its four polyester product lines in North and South America. Celanex® thermoplastic polyester (PBT) and Impet® thermoplastic polyester (PET) will increase $0.12/lb. Vandar® thermoplastic polyester alloy and Riteflex® thermoplastic polyester elastomer will increase $0.18/lb.
Pricing will increase as existing contracts allow and will apply to shipments in the Americas beginning July 2, 2007.
