Full Commercial Production of Micro-Pelletized PPM Alloys To Begin in the First Quarter Of 2008

Port Moody [Vancouver], BC – Pacific Particulate Materials, Ltd. has devised its super-slick, ball bearing-like cermet additive alloys for polymeric and nano-composites. New PPM Alloys in composites translates into superior strength and ultimate long service-life for purpose-built polymeric mechanical-parts in extreme high-stress environments.

The alloys are produced as Premium Performance Master-Batch Alloys in micro-pellet format in order to more easily incorporate down-stream into the composite melt, and to easily blend with other pellets for molding and for extruding bar-stock and pin-stock.
The significance of the PPM Alloys is in handling ease and in contributing to surpassing the overall performance profiles of widely-used resin composites and nano-composites.

The PPM Alloys exemplify abrasion resistance, high strength, low dynamic coefficient of friction, exceptional thermal-shock resistance and tighter dimensional stability for longer part-life cycles. Many suspected under-performing mechanical-parts lacking the punch that can be gained from PPM Alloy properties would be rendered “obsolete”.

Projected mechanical-part applications for new custom micro-pellet alloy composites are in oil recovery such as the oil sands, rotating and heavy equipment, conveyor-line components, aircraft and space vehicle components; and, in overlays and weld-joints from extruded alloy/plastic weld-rods.

A number of pilot applications are in progress and preparations are underway toward full commercial production of Micro-Pelletized PPM Alloys in 1Q-2008.
