Beaumont Technologies, Inc. Celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary of Cost Saving Solutions for Molders
ERIE, PA (March 12, 2008) – 100 million dollars! That is the calculated (and conservative) amount of money that customers of Beaumont Technologies, Inc. (BTI), now celebrating its 10th year in business, projects they have saved injection molders worldwide by using melt rotation technologies as a business strategy over the past decade.
BTI’s rheological control technologies optimize plastic flow to and within mold cavities, but they require no investment in capital equipment. The technology originally came out of the laboratories of one of the leading polymer universities in North America little more than a decade ago. Then, in 1998, John Beaumont, noted industry expert, author and lecturer, started Beaumont Technologies and began offering this and other molding technologies and services to the industry. As a result, injection molders around the globe have saved millions of dollars over these years.
BTI is the only firm to offer the melt rotation technologies to the molding industry. This advanced technology gives injection molders a new type of control over material property and viscosity variations that create filling imbalances and part quality issues within single and multi-cavity molds, independent of whether the melt delivery system utilizes hot or cold runners.
“Actually that dollar savings ($81,797,400, calculated when this article was being written and is projected to be more than $100 million by mid-year) is much larger when taking into account no additional capital equipment purchases were required by injection molders who have utilized this technology,” says BTI Founder and President John Beaumont. “The industry will be hard-pressed to find any other plastics technology that continues to make such a profound impact on the industry. These, and other technologies built on the original MeltFlipper® melt rotation solution, have made a major impact in terms of savings and competitiveness in the injection molding community.”
Technology Being Used in University Polymer Engineering Programs
The patented technologies by Beaumont are a mainstay of student research within the Pennsylvania State University – the Behrend College. As part of the year-long anniversary celebrations and “giving” by the company, BTI is now in the process of seeking out and then selecting other universities where they can donate the Beaumont technologies for future studies.
Beaumont Offers Special ROI Worksheet to Demonstrate Savings
Further, the company is now offering a way injection molders can “prove” the quick and long term cost savings and product enhancement benefits attainable with new technologies. They will e-mail, upon request, a ROI (return on investment) worksheet that allows molders to calculate the savings obtainable by using the technologies.
