Rotterdam, Netherlands, May 26, 2008 – Effective June 1, LyondellBasell Industries will increase prices by €100 per tonne on its polyethylene grades sold in Europe.

“Escalating feedstock and energy costs, which have been eroding our margins since the beginning of the year, have necessitated this increase,” said Hans-Robert Schmidt, Senior Vice President of LyondellBasell’s Polyethylene Global and Europe Business.
