Helps molders maximize productivity, minimize downtime

Elk Grove Village, IL – Now available is an intense, hands-on training program to help manufacturers maximize performance and minimize downtime on electric and hydraulic injection molding systems from Toshiba Machine. Customers as well as non-customers can receive the training at one of Toshiba’s Regional Technical Centers or have the training conducted on-site, on their own machines.

Led by Toshiba’s team of technical engineers, training sessions combine classroom presentations and molding simulations with machine demonstrations and hands-on practice in a production floor environment, giving participants a better understanding of the system’s operation, capabilities and features. Sessions are held in specially equipped classrooms at Toshiba’s Regional Technical Centers in Elk Grove Village, IL; Ontario, California and Randolph, New Jersey.

One of the most popular courses is Toshiba’s two-day processing course, which is designed to improve molding skill levels of advanced operators. Courses are focused either on Toshiba all-electric injection molding machines with a V-30 controller or hydraulic machines with a V-21 controller. Topics include injection profiling, repeatability and energy efficiency, machine controls, regular and vent-type injection molding, safety, troubleshooting, clamp force procedures, optional equipment and technical updates.
Toshiba’s two-day maintenance course is designed to promote quality machine maintenance practices and minimize downtime. Sessions provide attendees with a better understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical circuitry; hydraulic and electrical components; diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Also available are on-site training and consultation services geared to the molder’s specific needs. Additional training opportunities on Toshiba machines are available through a partnership with Paulson Training Program, Inc. and RJG, Inc.

The cost of attending a two-day processing or maintenance session at one of Toshiba’s Regional Training Centers is $450 per person. Covered in the cost are all training materials as well as breakfast and lunch. On-site training is priced at $550 per person per day, plus instructor expenses. An estimate for consultation services will be provided on request. The schedule of training sessions through the end of 2008 includes:

• August 26-27: V-30 Processing, Ontario, CA
• September 23-24: V-30 Maintenance, Randolph, NJ
• October 28-29: V-30 Processing, Elk Grove Village, IL
• November 3-4: Hydraulic Maintenance, Ontario, CA

Toshiba is now accepting registrations for processing and maintenance courses through the end of 2009. The 2009 course schedule will be announced later this year.
