Erie, PA – September 15, 2008 – Beaumont Technologies, Inc. (BTI), acclaimed leader in plastic rheology technology, has revised their training seminars to include:
- PlasticsPro – From Pellets to Parts
This seminar encompasses real world insight into plastics flow and rheology, shrink and warp, part design and the science of designing and optimizing melt delivery systems. Course duration = 2 days.
- FillPro – Diagnosing Filling and Part Quality Variations
This seminar teaches the methodology of “flow grouping” to provide attendees with a systematic procedure for troubleshooting daily problems on the shop floor by isolating the root causes of variations. Course duration = 1 day.
Both seminars can be held at a customer’s location or at BTI’s facility, and may be customized to fit a company’s specific training needs or to cover a wide variety of job functions including:
- Mold makers, designers and engineers
- Part designers
- Quality control personnel
- Comprehensive training overviews for managers
According to Dave Hoffman, Technical Director of Sales & Marketing, “When you consider processing, mold making, and quality control as three of the top primary job functions for injection molding, there is one thing that they have in common…and that is plastic flow. But yet there is a rather large disconnect of good understanding of plastic flow. There are various companies in the industry that offer great process training. But few companies teach fundamental plastic flow and how it relates to material properties, part design, warp, and designing and optimizing a melt delivery system…everything that is needed to go from pellets to parts. That understanding, coupled with over 100 real world examples…both good and bad…are what sets BTI’s PlasticsPro seminar apart from other training seminars.”
Hoffman continues, “Our FillPro training is truly one of a kind in terms of taking the science of plastic flow and using that understanding to develop a systematic procedure for isolating root causes to variations in mold filling, part quality, mold maintenance, and various other job functions. These two new Pro-Series training courses are designed to empower employees with the required knowledge and skills that can immediately be applied to increase the efficiency and profitability of any plastics processing operation.”
Hands-on lab sessions are also available. Participants receive a complete training notebook, calculator, pen, formula sheet, and a trial version of BTI’s 5 Step Process™ software (FillPro only). Training certification courses are also available.
