September 28, 2008 – LIAD Weighing and Control Systems is showcasing its new ColorSave 1000F gravimetric feeder at the upcoming FAKUMA show in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
The ColorSave 1000F operates on a loss-in-weight principle to achieve consistent additive dosing accuracy and repeatability, resulting in high efficiency and considerable savings in additive consumption.

The new ColorSave 1000F boasts new features, like a connection to injection pulse in addition to the recovery pulse, a powerful DC motor, a user-friendly multiple-language graphic display, and an integrated TCP/IP card. |
An upgraded version of LIAD's well-established and popular ColorSave 1000 gravimetric additive feeder for injection-molding machines, the new ColorSave 1000F model boasts new features, as outlined here by LIAD CEO Eli Margalit: "We have taken the successful ColorSave 1000 model and made some important – yet cost-cutting – improvements, like adding a connection to injection pulse in addition to the recovery pulse, a powerful DC motor, a user-friendly multiple-language graphic display, and an integrated TCP/IP card. For other applications, we have included a gravimetric/volumetric mode switch as well as a unique mode for extrusion blow-molding machines."
Notes Margalit, "As with the ColorSave 1000, our ColorSave 1000F model offers consistent, accurate operation and repeatability, even at very low output rates, and has automatic self-adjustment if there is a deviation from the set additive weight." He adds, "Both models are equipped with automatic Venturi loaders and are easy to maintain and to clean."
LIAD CEO Eli Margalit will be available at the LIAD stand at FAKUMA - Stand 630 in Hall A6 - to answer questions and discuss the economic advantages of integrating ColorSave equipment into the plastic production process.
