Minnetonka, Minn. – January 21, 2009 – NatureWorks LLC is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Quimicoplasticos and QP Inc. to distribute NatureWorks’s Ingeo™ resins in Colombia. This agreement signals NatureWorks’ long term commitment to broadening Ingeo™ supply for the packaging, foodservice and injection molding industries. It is another sign that the market for Ingeo™ biopolymers is growing fast and that NatureWorks is ready to supply it.
The group of Quimicoplasticos and QP Inc. are able to supply most of the raw material needs of the plastic converters in Colombia, such as thermoplastic resins, pigments, additives and process aids.
Quimicoplasticos was founded in 1982 as a plastics distributor for commodity resins and, through their 26 years of experience, has been able to expand the product portfolio with engineering resins, color pigments, a full range of additives, mineral reinforced compounds and process aids.
The group of companies is committed to small, midsize and big customers, offering products from one bag to a full container load. For those requiring larger quantities, QP Inc. provides credit services and customer service.
