Recorded Webinar: Product Solutions with Vistamaxx™ Propylene-based Elastomers

Webinar: Product Solutions with Vistamaxx™ Propylene-based Elastomers

Vistamaxx propylene-based elastomers have been used widely to solve customer part issues. These olefinic elastomers provide solutions ranging from finding the right material for the design of a new part, cost containment by material replacement, or simply to improve performance attributes of a part. Examples of each will be explored.

Your presenter will be Chuck Siskovich, currently a Market Developer for ExxonMobil Chemical's portfolio of specialty elastomer products. He is part of a team that focuses on meeting customer needs by introducing specialty elastomer materials that deliver new solutions and benefits.

Eliminating the Costly Misidentification of Similar Plastics

Eliminating the Costly Misidentification of Similar Plastics

According to the most recent IDES statistics, there are more than 82,000 different grades of plastics. Often, the difference between two grades of the same basic resin can be as little as one or two percentage points in the proportion of one co-polymer over the other. This may be due to minor changes in levels of polymerization and cross-linking of the polymer chains or to the addition of very small quantities of lubricants and other additives. Unfortunately, these differences, however small, can negatively impact the intended end product, from both a price and performance perspective. Now, there is an easy, cost-effective, palm-sized solution that significantly reduces the incidence of misidentification: RAPID•ID™, designed by DeltaNu, the leader in handheld materials identification instruments.

Innovative Cleaning Technology for Maintaining PET Molds & Improving Finished Goods Quality

Innovative Cleaning Technology for Maintaining PET Molds & Improving Finished Goods Quality

In this video presentation, Cold Jet provides an overview of the environmentally responsible PET mold cleaning system which can reduce mold cleaning time up to 75% while also increasing productivity and product quality. The Cold Jet system utilizes dry ice blasting technology which allows molds to be cleaned hot and in place. The non-abrasive method requires no chemicals, and produces no secondary waste. A quicker clean means more production time, and a thorough clean allows consistent quality products and less scrap from your PET molds. The presentation includes cost calculation and ROI comparison overview between dry ice blast cleaning and manual cleaning of PET molds.
