We're working on a special (complimentary) report for you, and we need your quick input.

You'll find a short one-page questionnaire to let us know what your plans are for attending this year's NPE in Chicago. Yes, everyone involved will get the results data with the next Resin Blend email newsletter we publish next month.

Thanks in advance for your help in creating a truly useful and interesting NPE Attendance Report. Here's the link again.

Warmest wishes,
The IDES Prospector Pro Team

1. Dry vs. Conditioned Explained by Ben Howe, IDES

Recently a number of people have been asking about the difference between dry and conditioned data for polyamide (nylon) materials. In a nutshell, "dry" refers to data that is obtained from a sample of material with equivalent moisture content as when it was molded (typically <0.2%). "Conditioned" on the other hand, refers to data obtained from a sample of material that has absorbed some environmental moisture at 50% relative humidity prior to testing. The vast majority of dry and conditioned data is seen with polyamide (Nylon) materials. To understand the need for two sets of data it's important to understand a little about the structure of Polyamide.

2. Promoting Your Presence at NPE by Josh Dorrell, IDES

We’re already starting to see the NPE 2006 Globe in a lot of ads, along with booth numbers. That’s good because it helps people connect you to the event and lets them know where you’ll be.  It's tougher getting people to take the next step and put it in their show planner, or remembering your booth number from the ad.  One way to get them to take the next step is to use your advertising to promote the cool things you are doing for the show. Things like booth-inars (seminars in your booth), special events, special people, new product releases, etc.  That’s at least one step better than pasting the NPE Globe on your existing ads.

But how about taking another step? Read the full article
