Extruder Cuts Costs 68%: switches
to a thermoplastic purging compound
DLH
Industries was using acrylic to purge five extrusion
machines every day, heating the acrylic higher than
the resident resin processing temperature. Purging
strong colors, such as red or green, also required
removing the screw for a thorough cleaning. The benefits
of switching to Dyna-Purge were immediate for DLH:
 |
- Lower
Purging Costs
average cost to purge decreased 68%
- Less
Downtime
production is resumed faster with less clean-up
- Superior
Cleaning
cleans the barrel and screw on the first pass
- Easier
to Use
introduced at the resin processing temperature
A
producer of automotive tubing, DLH Industries
used Dyna-Purge to lower its purging costs and
boost productivity. Details are available in
a published Case Study. Learn
