We've been in the secret IDES R&D lab working on a few substantial improvements to Prospector Pro. And now we're ready to share them with you!
This Friday (March 31) we're introducing 3 updates to make Pro even more useful for you:
Quick Search
The Quick Search in Pro has become a popular way to search for plastics by keyword, but sometimes it was pretty picky about spelling and syntax. So, our engineers have made it a lot smarter so you don't have to worry about getting everything perfect.
This Friday, try searching any portion of the material you're looking for (like grade number, product name, grade and product name) and Prospector will be able to find it for you:
Also, you'll notice that the search box will be available on the home page of Pro in addition to the toolbar. By default, it searches Prospector Pro for data sheets, but now you can also search The Plastics Web®, our new website that includes only plastics related content using IDES's new vertical search engine for the plastics industry.
Results Table Filter
Above the results table, you'll see a 'Results Filter' to narrow your search without having to return to the search page. With the Results Filter, you'll be able to quickly narrow search results further by Availability, Material Status and Processing Method:
Alternative Resins Search
Alternative Resins Search is even more powerful! Prospector Pro now considers several more properties to help you find the best alternative plastic:
Also, with the advanced edit search, you can specify the percent range for material filler:
